Two quick-fire second half goals helped Crusaders collect the points from Warrenpoint Town's visit to Seaview.
Paul Heatley had the ball in the net after a quarter-of-an-hour with a close range poke but his effort was ruled out by the officials while, a couple of minutes after that, he was denied by an Aaron McCarey save.
At the other end, midway through the first half, Deane Watters almost found a way through only to be thwarted by a stretching save from Crues 'keeper Sean O'Neill.
The deadlock was finally broken eight minutes into the second half through Philip Lowry who headed past McCarey from David Cushley's corner.
Then, a couple of minutes later, Cushley himself doubled the home lead with a low, well hit effort after being teed up by Ross Clarke.
Warrenpoint pulled one back right at the end when Crues skipper Colin Coates turned the ball into his own net but there was still time for Clarke to restore Crusaders' two-goal lead with a right-foot shot past McCarey.
