YOU don't often get a genuine free offer these days but in what is a unique event for the local game Lisburn Distillery is offering free admission for all fans to the Danske Bank Premiership game against Ballinamallard United at New Grosvenor on Saturday 18th August.

Following fast on the heels of two initiatives already in the early days of this season – the
'Pay your age' season ticket for supporters under 16, and the pre-season Family Fun Day – this latest innovation is part of an on-going programme in reaching out to the wider community and to attract new supporters to the club and the game.

Ged Irwin, the club’s Community Relations Officer explained the background, he said; "We have been working hard over the close season on ways of attracting more people to the club. We felt that we could perhaps go that extra mile and do something special and the circumstances are right to do it next Saturday against Ballinamallard United in their first Premiership visit.

"There are no catches, admission to the game is free for everyone and we hope that football fans, especially families, will come along and take advantage of our unique offer.

"It promises to be an entertaining game with Lisburn Distillery out to play football and get results under our new manager Tim McCann and Ballinamallard will of course be keen to get their Premiership campaign off to a good start.

"There will also be competitions on the day for supporters to win a Lisburn Distillery season ticket or a chance for the younger supporters to lead out the Whites as a matchday mascot which will include a free kit.

"And to tell more people about Lisburn Distillery and what this great club is all about there will be a series of short “Welcome to Lisburn Distillery” information sessions at 2pm, 2.20pm and 2.40pm.

"It's a unique day, admission is free, so come along and join us."
