Warrenpoint Town have been condemned to a play-off spot following this draw at Stangmore Park.

Andrew Mitchell might have fired the Swifts into the lead early on when he hit the post on ten minutes while Terry Fitzpatrick failed to convert the rebound.

However, Warrenpoint seized the advantage five minutes later through Darren King with a stooping back post header which deflected off Fitzpatrick on its way over the line.

Gary Liggett came close to levelling for the Swifts with a low effort which Johnny Parr did well to stop at the near post.

Then, late in the first half, Daniel Hughes could have extended Town's lead only to see his shot blocked on the line by Jarlath O'Rourke.

The Swifts stepped up a gear after the break in pursuit of the equaliser with Jamie Glackin, David Armstrong and Matt Hazley all having chances.

And it fell to Glackin to eventually find a way through with a 90th minute 25-yard drive.
