Andrew Mitchell and Stephen Murray scored two apiece as Glenavon swept to a thumping over victory over Ards at the Bangor Fuels Arena.
Mitchell opened the scoring as early as the second minute when he bundled the ball over the line after Rhys Marshall had got on the end of a Robbie Norton defence splitting pass to create the opportunity.
Murray added a second on 21 minutes, chesting the ball home from a few yards out following a Joel Cooper ball from the left.
Cooper got on the scoresheet himself early in the second half after he tucked away the rebound from Bobby Burns' initial effort which Aaron Hogg had saved.
Ards pulled one back ten minutes later through Reece Glendinning's 25-yard curling free-kick into the far corner.
However, Murray restored Glenavon's three-goal cushion soon after with a classy finish past Hogg before, with just under a quarter-of-an-hour remaining, Mitchell added a fifth after Josh Daniels had gone past Glendinning before delivering a cross.
Then, with four minutes remaining, Mark Griffin completed the rout with a header in off an uprght.
