GLENS END 11-YEAR WINDSOR PARK HOODOO

A CIARAN Martyn goal after 22 minutes handed Glentoran their first league win over Linfield at Windsor Park for 11 years and moved Scott Young's side level with the Blues and Portadown at the top of the table on nine points.

The former Derry City man pounced to return the ball into the net after Alan Blayney could only push away a Gary Hamilton free-kick.

In the only other Carling Premiership game played on Saturday Cliftonville came from a goal down to defeat Lisburn Distillery at Ballyskeagh.

Jordan Hughes fired the Whites in front on 13 minutes only for Stephen Garrett to make the most of a defensive mix-up to level just before the half-hour mark.

Substitute Rory Donnelly then grabbed the winner on 76 minutes with a superb finish with the outside of his boot from the right-hand side of the area.
