Ballinamallard have boosted their Danske Bank Premiership survival hopes with the return of midfielder David Kee on loan from Coleraine for the remainder of the season.

The 29-year-old previously spent seven seasons at Ferney Park on their journey to the top flight having previously been an apprentice at Sheffield Wednesday.

Kee left Fermanagh to join Warren Feeney's Linfield in 2015 spending a single season at Windsor Park before being loaned out to Coleraine the following season, a move which was made permanent in the summer of 2017 but injuries and the Bannsiders' fine form has limited him to only two league appearances this term.

Manger Gavin Dykes told the Ballinamallard United official website “I’m delighted to get Keesy on board. He’s a quality player who knows this club inside out and he will give us great energy, leadership and experience for the remainder of the season."

David is the fifth January signing for the Mallards, joining Ryan O'Reilly, Sean Noble, Michael Kerr and Stephen O'Flynn for the league's basement side in their survival bid.

Next up for Ballinamallard United is a home game against Glentoran at Ferney Park this Saturday (kick-off: 3pm)
