A Reece Glendinning goal gave Ards victory over Ballymena United at the Bangor Fuels Arena.

The 22-year-old turned a half volley from just outside the box past his brother Ross in the United goal after 25 minutes.

Matthew Shevlin might have levelled ten minutes later when he found the net only to see it ruled out following a foul on 'keeper Sam Johnston.

After the break Shevlin, Kevin Braniff and Johnny McMurray all went close while Shevlin struck the woodwork in added time.
