MATT FINISH PUTS GLOSS ON CRUES VICTORY

CRUSADERS moved back into fifth spot with victory over Dungannon Swifts at Stangmore Park.

Matthew Snoddy opened the scoring for the Crues on 17 minutes after he got on the end of a Jordan Owens flick to slot the ball home.

But the Swifts levelled within five minutes through Sean Friars after he connected with a Liam Donnelly cross from the right delivered to the far post.

Friars had previously rattled the woodwork with a curling effort moments had the visitors had moved in front.

Crusaders regained their advantage two minutes short of the hour mark when Matt Hazley made the most of some poor home defending to send a right foot 12-yard drive beyond 'keeper Niall Morgan into the top corner.

Dungannon might have levelled for a second time a few minutes later after substitute Michael Ward found himself bearing down on Sean O'Neill only for the visiting 'keeper to do well to deny him.

Crusaders finished the game with ten men after Declan Caddell was sent off on 82 minutes following a challenge on Friars.
