A Jamie McGonigle goal with around a quarter-of-an-hour remaining handed Coleraine victory over Warrenpoint Town at the Q Radio Arena.
Both sides got off to a bright start, but their efforts in front of goal proved fruitless although Bannsiders keeper Chris Johns was called into action early on to keep out Eamon Scannell's shot from outside the area.
As the first half progressed Coleraine tested the 'Point defence with efforts from Adam Mullan and Stephen Lowry before Aaron McCarey did well to turn Josh Carson's free-kick around an upright.
Warrenpoint came close themselves either side of the break with Philip Donnelly producing a big stop from Johns before, in the second half, he teed Alan O'Sullivan up but Johns was again equal to the challenge.
The sides continued to trade chances before, finally, McGonigle grabbed what proved to be the winner with a close range finish after getting on the end of a Darren McCauley cross.
