Ciaran O'Connor netted twice as bottom of the table Warrenpoint Town stunned leaders Portadown in this Friday night clash at Milltown.

Barry Gray's side might have raced into the lead as early as the fourth minute when Stephen Hughes laid the ball off for O'Connor but his strike came back off the inside right post while Stephen Moan's follow-up was blocked by Garry Breen.

But O'Connor wasn't to be denied on 20 minutes when, again, Stephen Hughes created the opening for the Dundalk loanee to sidefoot home.

Then, five minutes from the break, it was the turn of Daniel Hughes to be the provider after his cross from the right was nodded back across goal by O'Connor and past David Miskelly.

Portadown pulled a goal back on 64 minutes after Chris Casement delivered a curling free-kick from the right for Breen to send a powerful header beyond Johnny Parr.
