Linfield and Glentoran meet tonight on Sky Sports as the ‘Big Two’ comes to the small screen (kick-off: 7.45pm)

Danske Bank Premiership leaders Linfield host their cross-city rivals with the aim of re-establishing their healthy six point lead at the top of the table.

David Healy’s Blues are in fine form with eight consecutive wins, with Michael O’Connor scoring twice against Newry City last Tuesday night in their latest outing.

It’s a first derby clash for Gary Smyth as Glentoran manager on his own – he will look to keep up his winning start after victories over Institute and Newry City in recent weeks.

There have been three meetings between the two clubs this season that have all ended with wins for Linfield over a Glentoran side then managed by Ronnie McFall. The last encounter ended in a 4-0

Historically one of the best attended fixtures in the Danske Bank Premiership – the first game of the season was also broadcast live at the Oval which ended in a narrow 1-0 win for the Blues in October.

Coverage starts on Sky Sports Football at 7.40pm hosted by Graham Little with commentary from Paul Gilmour and Steve Lomas.
