Dungannon Swifts hit two late goals to get the better of Glentoran at Stangmore Park.

The sides traded chances during the scoreless opening exchanges. Stephen O'Flynn perhaps came closest for the visitors with a half volley while Jamie Glackin directed an effort just past the right post.

The deadlock was broken in Glentoran's favour on 29 minutes. Curtis Allen did well to deliver the ball into the box only for Swifts defender Fra Brennan to direct it into his own net as he attempted to clear.

Dungannon started the second half much the brighter with Douglas Wilson fizzing an effort just past a post early on before sending a header over soon after.

Cormac Burke then tested Elliott Morris with a fantastic shot before, with a quarter-of-an-hour to go, Chris Hegarty equalised with a header from a Jarlath O'Rourke corner.

Then, not long after that, Andrew Mitchell might have fired the Swifts in front only to hook the ball just wide from a corner.

The winner came right at the end courtesy of a fantastic chip from Glackin over Morris from the edge of the area.
