TEN-MAN LURGAN BLUES SALVAGE A POINT

Gary Hamilton struck with five minutes remaining to earn Glenavon a point from Institute's visit to Mourneview Park.

Stephen O'Flynn had fired Institute in front ten minutes into the second half with a curling free-kick around the wall after he had dusted himself down after being fouled by James Singleton.

Singleton was sent-off with nine minutes remaining following a foul on last man Paul McVeigh.

At that point it looked bleak for Glenavon but player-manager Hamilton had other ideas.

Only on the field of play as a 75th minute substitute for Kyle Neill, he pounced on the rebound after Ciaran Caldwell had crashed an effort off the crossbar.
