Warrenpoint Town secured a share of the spoils from this highly dramatic visit to Windsor Park.
'Point moved in front on 19 minutes when an inswinging Conor McMenamin corner completely evaded both the Linfield defence and 'keeper Roy Carroll before nestling in the back of the net.
The Blues levelled on 27 minutes through Andrew Waterworth who did well to hold off the attention of a couple of defenders to nod Kirk Millar's right-wing cross past Jonathan Parr.
Then, six minutes later, David Healy's side edged into the lead from the spot when Andrew Mitchell converted into the bottom right after Seanna Foster was adjudged to have controlled a Millar cross with his hand.
The visitors might have levelled five minutes from the break when Darren Murray's header was saved by the feet of Roy Carroll before Sean Mackle's follow up was kept out by a superb Mark Stafford block.
But, in stoppage time, it was 2-2 after Darren Murray's deflected shot looped over Stafford and into the unguarded Linfield net.
After the break, Jordan Stewart came close with a 50th minute volley which sailed just over from 20 yards while, five minutes after that, a Mackle effort from a poor Carroll clearance looked goalbound only to be cleared off the line by Haughey.
Chris Casement almost restored Linfield's lead on 67 minutes with a left-foot curling effort into the corner by Parr produced a good save to keep the ball out.
Linfield did move back in front with five minutes to go after substitute Stephen Fallon stroked the ball into the bottom corner after Waterworth had cut it back into his path.
However, the visitors salvaged a deserved point in the closing moments when, following a challenge on Anto Reilly, Martin Murray knocked home a spot-kick into the bottom corner beyond Carroll.
