LATE GOALS HELP 'STUTE THROUGH
Two late goals helped ease Institute's passage into the BetMcLean League Cup last eight at the expense of HW Welders at the Brandywell.
'Stute held the advantage at the break when, midway through the first half, Dean Curry headed home Cormac Burke's corner delivered from the left.
The Welders had chances to level not long into the second half when Dylan Davidson found himself through on goal but was denied by Rory Brown while, a few minutes after that, Matthew Ferguson headed over from six yards.
Joe McCready came close to doubling Institute's lead around the hour when his chipped effort was cleared off the line.
However, Jamie McIntyre did make it 2-0 on 84 minutes with a long range strike followed, four minutes later, Tourish added a third with a header from Burke's corner.
