CLIFTONVILLE comfortably swept aside the challenge of Tobermore United to reach the next round of the IRN-BRU League Cup.
It took the Reds until the 41st minute to break the deadlock, however, when Marc Smyth poked the ball home in a goalmouth scramble following a Jody Lynch free-kick off an upright.
The Championship side levelled on the stroke of half-time courtesy of a close range Karl Steele header.
But Cliftonville effectively secured their third round berth with two goals in as many minutes midway through the second half.
First, on 67 minutes, Stephen Garrett nodded a George McMullan ball past Willian Hassan.
And, sixty seconds later, substitute Joe Gormley raced clear of the defence to put the issue beyond doubt.
Gormley then doubled his tally for the night after beating a couple of defenders with ten minutes remaining.
