Two Steven Gordon goals helped Glentoran book a quarter-final berth at the expense of Carrick Rangers.
Gordon nodded the Glens in front on three minutes after getting his head to a David Scullion cross from the left.
Carrick levelled on 14 minutes courtesy of a Brian McCaul header after Elliott Morris couldn't claim a Joe McNeill corner.
The visitors then squanderd the chance to seize the advantage after Conor McCloskey saw a spot-kick - conceded by William Garrett - saved by Morris before the loose ball was scrambled clear.
After the break Fra McCaffrey might have restored Glentoran's lead with a 25-yard effort which Brian Neeson did well to hold.
Glentoran's second goal did arrive on 73 minutes, however, with Gordon again doing the honours with Scullion once more supplying the crucial ball.
Curtis Allen completed the scoring towards the end of the game with the aid of an upright.
