Cliftonville continued their defence of the JBE League Cup with a penalty shoot-out defeat of Dungannon Swifts at Stangmore Park.
The visitors moved in front after nine minutes through Jay Donnelly after he was picked out by a superb Jaime McGovern ball before firing into the bottom corner.
That was how it stayed until five minutes from the end of normal time when Paul McElroy headed home the rebound after his initial effort cannoned back off the crossbar.
The game exploded into life early in extra-time.
Jay Donnelly turned the ball against an upright on 98 minutes but, from the break, Ally Teggart fired low into the bottom right corner to give the Swifts the lead.
However, not long after, Jay Donnelly levelled for the Reds with a close range tap-in after Martin Donnelly had squared the ball into his path.
The scoring continued moments later with Martin Donnelly sending a left-foot strike past Stuart Addis after a corner was knocked down.
But back came the Swifts with undoubtedly one of the goals of the season when McElroy spotted 'keeper Peter Burke off his line and from inside his own area blasted a superb shot into the unguarded net.
Despite that scoring spree it still took a penalty shoot-out to separate the sides with Cliftonville eventually emerging on top.
