DERGVIEW striker Ryan Campbell is the IRN-BRU League Cup IRN Man Award winner for Round Three.
The IRN Man Award is chosen after each round by IRN-BRU's Phenomenal Footy Panel (made up of local football writers) to celebrate heroes of the local game.
Campbell, known to everyone as 'Rocket', fired his hometown club into the Quarter-Final with a dramatic 89th minute winner against Premiership Donegal Celtic.
It was a goal that owed everything to Campbell's never-say-die spirit and set-up the biggest match in the modest Castlederg club's history.
"To be honest Ryan missed a few good chances earlier in the match," said Dergview FC Manager, Harry McConkey.
"But fair play to him, he kept on putting himself in the right place and it eventually paid off."
Dergview, the only Championship side to reach the last eight, were rewarded with a home tie against Ballymena United.
"It's definitely the biggest game the town's ever had," explained Ryan.
"The place is buzzing and I've had a great response from people since the win over Donegal Celtic."
Rocket might even allow the IRN Man trophy to sit on his brother's mantelpiece for a while. After all, it was Steven (nicknamed Sprocket) who supplied the crucial pass.
"We broke from midfield and Steven played the ball through. Their defender and 'keeper got in a muddle and I managed to take advantage."
"This IRN-BRU award is a nice reward for Ryan," added his manager.
"Both Coleraine and Dungannon Swifts showed interest in signing him at the start of the season, but he chose to stay with his hometown team."
