NI FOOTBALL LEAGUE AGM 2019

The seventh Annual General Meeting of the Northern Ireland Football League was held at the Mervyn Brown Suite at the National Football Stadium at Windsor Park tonight (Monday 29th July, 2019).

Presiding over the meeting, NIFL Chairman Brian Adams reported to attending member club representatives on a positive 2018/19 season. The overview included an update on NIFL’s 20/20 Vision and consultation around the best way forward for the league, the formation of NIFL’s Academy League in both the male and female leagues including a new Player Scholarship partnership.

The Chairman also noted the ever developing NI Football Awards in partnership with the NI Football Writers' Association and the impressive increase in reach and awareness for all competitions. As a result Mr Adams thanked the NIFL staff, all sponsors and media for their continued support.

In closing the Chairman paid tribute to retiring and founding Independent Board member Peter Dornan. The Board are currently undertaking a recruitment process to replace Mr Dornan.

Managing Director Andrew Johnston presented the statement of accounts and the balance sheet of the organisation for the year ended 31 May 2019.
