TEN WOMEN’S PREMIERSHIP STARS IN LATEST NI SQUAD

Northern Ireland Women’s manager Kenny Shiels has called upon ten players from the Danske Bank Women’s Premiership into his squad for the UEFA Euro 2021 qualification double header.

Shiels has introduced seven new faces to his panel for the 20 woman squad for games against World Cup quarter-finalists Norway in Stavanger next Friday (8 November) and Wales at Seaview the following Tuesday (12 November).

Five of the call ups come from the Women’s Premiership champions, Linfield as Ashley Hutton, Chloe McCarron, Rebecca McKenna, Caitlin McGuinness and Casey Howe.

Cliftonville Ladies duo Marissa Callaghan and Toni-Leigh Finnegan are also joined by Julie Nelson from Crusaders Strikers as well as Emma McMaster and Demi Vance (both Glentoran Women).

There are also three recent Danske Bank Women’s Premiership alumni in the squad as ex-Linfield trio Lauren Perry, Kelsie Burrows (both Blackburn Rovers) and Megan Bell (Durham Ladies).
