PORTADOWN FC COMMUNITY CARE PACKAGE

20 Mar 2020
football

Portadown have teamed up with local community organisations to assist the local community's most vulnerable people.

The club will partner with Portadown YMCA, Helping Hands Community Outreach and Brownstown Residents Association in a co-ordinated collaboration as they try to help out our communities most vulnerable in the light of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

The group will be putting together a Community Care Package and are asking anyone locally that is able to donate to come along to Shamrock Park on the below times to donate anything they can afford to. The Care Packs will be delivered to the elderly & vulnerable locally over the coming days and weeks.

The group understand these are worrying times for everyone in society including business and families, although it is our opinion that the community needs to support its most vulnerable and that has been highlighted as being the elderly so we are attempting to make sure they are sufficiently looked after and we can play a small part in that. We have already had some kind donations but are welcoming some more including:

- Tinned Foods
- Bread
- Eggs
- Pasta
- Cleaning Products (incl. Hand Soap, Sanitizer, Cleaning Wipes etc)
- Toilet/Kitchen Roll

Shamrock Park will be open on Friday 20th March between 6pm-8pm & Saturday 21st March between 10am-1pm.

We ask that all donations are dropped into the boxes / containers provided, so that we can take the necessary precautions to help limit the spread of the infectious virus. We appreciate every donation, no matter how big or small. If there are larger items or bulk of items that would need picked up then please let us know through our Social Media pages or contact Mark Beattie on 07851207689.

If you know of anyone in the local community who is especially vulnerable and in need of help, please contact our Social Media pages or Mark Beattie on 07851207689 and we will endeavour to help as much as we can.
