The Danske Bank Women’s Premiership continues on Wednesday night with a full round of matches in gameweek 17.

After last season’s shortened campaign due to the pandemic, this season sees a full restoration with each of the sides in the top-flight playing each other four times.

League leaders Glentoran host third-placed Crusaders, while Cliftonville - who trail the Glens on goal difference - travel to basement side Derry City.

Elsewhere, Linfield will be looking to build on last week’s draw at Cliftonville as they host Sion Swifts.

Cliftonville Ladies v Derry City Women
Derry City will be looking for their first away points of the campaign having secured an impressive 2-1 win over Crusaders last week.

Cliftonville know they will need to pick up all three points as they continue their involvement in the title race - they will go top if they secure more points on the night than Glentoran.

The Reds have won all three matches against the Candystripes this season to extend their winning run in the fixture to 17 matches.

John McGrady’s side were held at home by Linfield last week and will be looking to return to winning ways at Solitude.

Crusaders Strikers v Glentoran Women
These two sides will contest the Irish Cup final this season but the Crues could also derail Glentoran’s title hopes at Seaview on Wednesday.

The champions and league leaders have won all three meetings between the sides to date this campaign but two of those games were secured with a slender one-goal scoreline - Casey Howe’s last-minute winner secured a dramatic victory for the visitors at Seaview in June.

There have been only 16 goals in the last eight meetings between these two sides, and this encounter could be another low-scoring affair.

Linfield Ladies v Sion Swifts Ladies
Linfield will be looking to build on last week’s draw at Cliftonville and a victory at New Midgely Park would lift them above Sion Swifts into fourth in the standings.

30 goals have flown in across the last seven encounters, including a 6-0 win for Sion in Strabane earlier this season and the Blues running out three-goal victors on the opening day.

The Blues have lost just three of their last 13 fixtures against Sion although two of those have come this season.
