There were away wins in the latest round of Danske Bank Premiership games for Coleraine, Glenavon and Glentoran while Cliftonville picked up three points at Solitude.

Much attention was focused on Windsor Park when leaders Linfield hosted fierce rivals Glentoran in the second 'Big Two' clash of the season.

Last time out the sides battled to an equal share of six goals but, on this occasion, it took a stoppage time winner from Conor McMenamin to tip the balance in favour of the visitors after it appeared the game was going to end scoreless.

Coleraine moved into third spot thanks to a two-goal defeat of Carrick Rangers at the Loughshore Hotel Arena.

Curtis Allen bagged both goals for the Bannsiders, the opener coming around the hour mark before he made sure on 76 minutes after pouncing on a loose ball to beat Aaron Hogg for a second time.

Cliftonville were the only home winners on the night with victory over a Ballymena United side that have now lost five games on the bounce.

Ryan Curran fired the Reds in front on 31 minutes but Ballymena levelled before the break through Shay McCartan. However Paul O'Neill popped up with eight minutes remaining to send a low stooping header past Ross Glendinning to secure the points for Paddy McLaughlin's side.

Meanwhile, Glenavon beat Dungannon Swifts by the odd goal in three at Stangmore Park.

The visitors raced into a commanding lead with goals from Conor McCloskey and Matthew Fitzpatrick inside the opening 25 minutes and could have extended their lead on a couple of occasions before the break.

However Dungannon, with interim boss Dixie Robinson back in charge, produced a much better second half performance, pulling a goal back late in the game through Oisin Smyth and almost snatching a stoppage time equaliser.
