Glentoran have announced the signing of 21-year-old striker Jordan Jenkins from Glenavon.

Jenkins makes the switch to The Oval after spending the last four years at Mourneview which also included a few months on loan to Carrick Rangers in the second half of last season.

An east Belfast native, Jenkins first came to notice back in 2016 when, as a 16-year-old, he bagged the winner in Glenavon's Charity Shield victory over Crusaders just seven minutes after coming on as a substitute in the closing stages of the game and only a few weeks after joining for youth club Ridgeway Rovers.

Although signed too late to play any part in the tie Jenkins travelled with the Glentoran squad ahead of tonight's Europa Conference League clash with Welsh club The New Saints.
