Glentoran Women have discovered their three group stage opponents for this season’s Women’s Champions League draw.

The Danske Bank Women’s Premiership champions have been pitted in the same group as the league title winners of Romania, Bosnia and Malta respectively.

It is the second successive season when the Glens will face Olimpia Cluj, whom they defeated 2-0 in last year’s tournament thanks to goals from Joely Andrews and Chloe McCarron in a match they dominated.

Billy Clarke’s side will face the Romanian side on 18 August and if they triumph, they will meet the winners of the clash between Maltese champions Birkirkara FC and Bosnian league winners SFK Sarajevo on 21 August, with a third-placed playoff on the same date for the two sides to lose their opening fixtures.
