Dergview bagged a stoppage time winner to secure the last remaining top six spot as the final round of Lough 41 Championship fixtures concluded ahead of the split.

Tommy Canning's side claimed their place in the top half of the table courtesy of Matthew Buchanan's strike against Ballinamallard United at Ferney Park. The sides were deadlocked with goals from BJ Banda and Jamie Dunne - and the visitors had missed a penalty - before Buchanan bagged the decisive goal in the 91st minute.

That gave Dergview the edge over Ards who had held the spot going into the afternoon but Matthew Tipton's side crumbled to a four-goal defeat away to HW Welders with Michael McLellan and Jake Corbett bagging two apiece for the home side.

Leaders Newry City came from behind to sweep past Ballyclare Comrades at Dixon Park. Tom Mathieson fired the Comrades in front just before the break but James Teelan, Darren King, Declan Carville (with two) and Daniel Hughes all found the net for the visitors.

That keeps them four points clear of nearest challengers Annagh United who also hit five in a crushing defeat of Dundela at the BMG Arena.

Jordan Campbell opened the scoring on 20 minutes with Peter Duffin doubling up soon after. Then, after the break, Stephen Murray, Lee Upton and Scott McCullough all registered while Jay Magee and William Faulkner knocked in a couple of consolation strikes for the Duns.

Loughgall's play-off hopes suffered a setback as they lost away to Queen's University. The Villagers moved in front after just a couple of minutes when home defender Ronan Young turned the ball into his own net but the Students levelled through Tamer Atrach later in the first half before Chris Middleton hit a penalty in stoppage time to earn Peter Thompson's side the points.

Meanwhile, Institute leapfrogged Knockbreda out of the bottom two with victory at Breda Park. A Mark McFadden brace either side of a Max Greer finish handed 'Stute the advantage at the break. Nathan Johnston levelled just short of the hour before Brendan McLaughlin knocked home the winner a couple of minutes from time.
