Three first half goals set Warrenpoint Town well on the way to victory over Loughgall at Milltown.

Conor McMenamin opened the scoring just after a quarter-of-an-hour had elapsed when he slotted home the rebound after the ball had fallen loose when John McGuigan went one-on-one with Gareth Buchanan.

McGuigan wasn't to be denied three minutes later, however, when he swept up after the Loughgall 'keeper had parried a Stephen Murray low shot.

Then, on 23 minutes, 'Point went further ahead when home defender Mark Stewart turned the ball into his own net after being hit by another McGuigan effort.

That was how it stayed until the 73rd minute when that man McGuigan doubled his tally from the spot after he had been upended by Jamie Rea.

The Villagers did grab a late consolation through recent signing Andrew Hoey who was on hand to fire past Johnny Parr after a Jordan Baker effort had been saved.
