ROESIDERS HAVE TOO MUCH FOR THE WHITES
Limavady United made it five Lough 41 Premier Intermediate League wins in a row with victory over Lisburn Distillery at The Showgrounds.
The visitors started well, almost going in front as early as the second minute when a Stephen Sullivan strike from outside the area was tipped around an upright by keeper Connor Brown.
Limavady moved in front with just over a quarter-of-an-hour on the clock after Josh Tennant punished the Whites defence after they failed to clear the danger.
Distillery might have levelled almost immediately through Michael O'Hanlon but his effort from a Mikey Withers cross was well saved by Brown.
However, the Roesiders extended their advantage ten minutes into the second through leading scorer Alex Pomeroy's successfully converted spot-kick.
Lewis Higginson pulled one back within a minute for Distillery with a strike from distance but despite a late Paul Young cross causing problems in the home defence it wasn't enough to prevent the Whites slipping to their first league defeat in three games.
