GORDON WINNER KEEPS DOLLYBIRDS IN CHARGE
Dollingstown kept up their 100% record in the Playr-Fit Premier Intermediate League with a hard-fought victory away to Lisburn Distillery.
The first half was a closely fought affair at New Grosvenor Park, as neither side could find an opening – Dollingstown had the early pressure, but it was the Whites who should have gone into the break in front having seen Fra Brennan’s effort cleared off the line.
It wasn’t until the 69th minute that the deadlock was broken by the league leaders as Daniel Gordon who took his opportunity by firing past Lorcan Donnelly into the bottom corner.
Dollingstown held out for the victory, which keeps Stephen Uprichard’s men still five points clear at the top of the standings.
