NOTHING BETWEEN TOP TWO AT SOLITUDE
The top two in the Premiership, Cliftonville and Linfield, battled to a scoreless draw at Solitude.
Scoring opportunities were at a premium in the first half with Matthew Fitzpatrick perhaps coming closest for Linfield early on with a header from Joel Cooper's cross which was deflected wide while, at the other, Joe Gormley just failed to find the target from Ronan Doherty's through ball.
Cliftonville threatened early in the second half when Gormley found Kris Lowe but despite going one-on-one with Chris Johns the midfielder could only fire just over.
Linfield had the ball in the net not long after that but Cooper's thunderous volley into the top corner was ruled out offside.
The sides continued to trade chances with Luke Conlan's header from another Doherty delivery failing to trouble Johns before played switched for Chris McKee to send a glancing header just over the top.
As the game progressed Johns was marginally the busier of the two keepers, and was called into action again to deny Ryan Curran's turn and shot into the bottom right while he also had to be alert late on to thwart Rory Donnelly.
