Through the support of Sport NI, the NI Football League has developed a player welfare partnership with mental health and addiction charity Sporting Chance. The partnership aims to support the well-being of our clubs, players and personnel.

The programme aims to raise awareness of mental health and addiction with support at 3 different levels;

Academy Player Education – organised by the NI Football League through Academy League Development Days the Sporting Chance team will deliver education and awareness workshops to young players playing within the NIFL Academy League

Senior Player Workshops – on request and based on need NIFL will deploy the Sporting Chance team to deliver workshops at individual clubs at senior level (now available as an online group workshop)

For any of the above please contact NIFL Development Manager Steven Mills ([email protected] or 07472750799)

Counselling & Referral Service – private and confidential support for individuals directly through the Sporting Chance Clinic. Please note any communication to this service is strictly confidential, the NI Football League, no member clubs or individual outside of Sporting Chance will be aware of any individual who avails of this service
