Crusaders Strikers are through to the semi-finals of the Danske Bank Women’s League Cup following a 2-0 victory over Derry City at the Limavady Showgrounds.

Goals from Lisa Armour and Danielle McDowell were enough for Spike Hill's side to reach the last four, when they will meet Glentoran Women.

Caitlyn Hamilton was an emergency stand-in goalkeeper for the visitors due to their usual number one being unavailable.

Armour broke the deadlock midway through the first half following neat build-up play with Faith Johnston to make the visitors early dominance count.

The visitors enjoyed the better of the chances and finally doubled their lead with seven minutes remaining courtesy of McDowell.

Her free-kick was saved by Derry goalkeeper Molly McBride but the ball rebounded out to McDowell again to head home and wrap up the victory.
