*** The Coleraine v Institute game on 1 November resulted in a 3-0 loss for both teams due to the playing of ineligible players ***
Mark Miskimmin helped himself to a hat-trick as a dominant Coleraine swept to a four-goal victory over Institute.
The Bannsiders enjoyed the best of what was created in an otherwise quiet opening spell with Ian Parkhill and Lyndon Kane both looking promising with half chances.
But the deadlock was broken on 31 minutes when, from a Neill McCafferty free-kick from the right, David Ogilby flicked the ball home via a deflection.
Ruairi Harkin will feel he should have doubled Coleraine's lead after that from a Parkhill pass but he couldn't convert from close range.
It was 2-0, however, on 66 minutes when Miskimmin beat Ferry with a low shot after Shane McGinty had supplied the final ball.
And Miskimmin added a third with ten minutes remaining with a left-foot close range finish from a Parkhill pass.
He then collected his hat-trick right at the end from the spot after Parkhill was brought down by Mark Scoltock in the area with the 'Stute man being sent-off as a result.
