Crusaders Strikers welcomed Ballymena United All Stars to Seaview, fielding 11 changes from the cup victory over Bangor Ladies a couple of nights earlier.

In a tight first half neither team managed to get a grip of the game, with both teams having half chances from distance.

The Strikers moved in front just before the break the speedy Emily Wilson beat the Ballymena defender to the by line and cut the ball back to captain Julie Nelson who calmly stroked the ball into the bottom corner.

After the break the home side picked up where they had left off and on 50 minutes Clare Carson did well to hold the ball up and win a free-kick 25-yards from goal which Nelson drove the ball past the 'keeper to make it 2-0.

Crusaders where then reduced to ten when Danielle McDowell was shown a red card for an off the ball incident.

The North Belfast side then extended their lead on 70 minutes. A lovely flowing move involving Nadine Murphy, Chloe Armour, and Emily Wilson lead to a stunning goal. Wilson curled the ball on her right foot and unleashed an unstoppable effort into the top right corner from the edge of the box.

Crusaders had further chances before the final whistle to extend their lead through Mearns, Murphy and Wilson.
