Linfield Ladies produced an excellent second half display to complete a very professional and convincing win over Ballymena United Allstars at Rathmore School to maintain a goal difference lead at the top of the table.

Linfield enjoyed the lions share of the first half possession but it took until the 32nd minute for the opening goal to arrive when Megan Bell scored followed shortly after in the 42nd minute by Sarah Venney who drilled home from outside the box.

The second half saw a much more clinical Linfield finish their chances.

On 48 mins Jennifer McDade tucked away a corner at the back post. Louise McFrederick was next up heading home from another corner. Kirsty McGuinness and Debbie McCarthy each scored inside a few minutes to make it 6-0.

The Blues kept the pressure on when Amber Dempster, on her return from America, fired home before McGuinness got her second of the night side footing home a Dempster cross.

In the last two minutes Louise McFrederick and Dempster finished off the scoring.
