Sion Swifts Ladies got back to winning ways with a six-goal defeat of Portadown Ladies at Darragh Park.
Sion smarting from last weeks League Cup exit looked to get going early but pitch conditions weren’t great as a playoff had taken place on the pitch the night before.
Sion's Michelle McDaid and Chloe McGlade missed opportunities in front of goal before McDaid got her first of the season after 25 minutes, slotting it into the corner after a one on one with Courtney Adamson in the Ports' goal.
After the break Sion came out with a new found energy and upped the tempo significantly. Amy Boyle Carr netted her second of the season and Jessica Moorehead got on the scoresheet with her debut goal for the club.
Former Newry City players Aimee Mackin and Moya Feehan were introduced after 75 minutes and Mackin completed a quick fire hat-trick before the final whistle was blown.
