WOMEN'S PREMIERSHIP PREVIEW: 3 OCTOBER

The Danske Bank Women's Premiership continues this evening with games at the Brandywell and The Dub.

Derry City Ladies v. Portadown Ladies (The Brandywell; kick-off 8:15pm)
Derry City Ladies welcome bottom placed Portadown Ladies to the Brandywell for the final league game of the season.

Both camps go into the fixture after recent defeats last week. Derry City ladies where defeated 2-0 at home to Crusaders while Portadown were crushed at home to Glentoran Women. Recent meetings this season have produced two wins for the Candystripes, winning 3-0 and 2-0 respectively.

Derry will be missing Bronagh McGuinness, Leah McDaid and Leah McGonagle who are away with Northern Ireland Under-19s on international duty but the Candystripes will welcome the return of Lauren Cregan.

Glentoran Women's FC v. Cliftonville Ladies (The Dub; kick-off 8pm)
Glentoran host Cliftonville at the Oval in the battle for second place. Recent encounters between the sides this season have proved to be tight affairs with both teams winning the fixture by a one goal margin.

Both sides come in the fixture in good form, Glentoran have won five of their last six league games while Cliftonville have won three of their last six Premiership outings.

The Glens will be without Yasmin White who is on European Championship duty with Northern Ireland Under-19s this weeks.

Glentoran recently celebrated Kelly Bailie's 22-years at the club with a match at the Oval v. Glentoran Ladies legends and will enter the game in good spirits after a really strong end to the season.

Cliftonville will have Megan Weatherall available again after suspension. The fixture is a must win for the Reds in their efforts to finish in second place.
