HW Welders picked up another win on the road with a narrow defeat of Institute at the Brandywell.
A tightly contested affair, the visitors might have moved in front as early as the sixth minute from the spot when the ball struck 'Stute skipper Aidan McCauley on the arm but Michael McLellan could only look on as his subsequent penalty was saved by John Connolly.
The only goal of the game came after 35 minutes through Craig Harris' deflected effort into the top corner from around 20 yards out.
After the break Alan McMurtry produced a stop from Connolly while, at the other end, Brendan McLaughlin saw a curling free-kick kept out by Ben McCauley.
Both sides had chances later in the game, Oran Brogan glanced the ball just wide on 83 minutes while Mark Anderson was denied by a diving Connolly.
