Carrick Rangers boss Niall Currie has signed striker Dee Fearon to bolster his attacking options at the Loughshore Hotel Arena.

The 24-year-old joins from Dundela, for whom he made four appearances after switching from Knockbreda in the January transfer window. His playing opportunities were curtailed by the suspension of the season, but he had managed to bag eight goals from 14 outings for 'Breda prior to that.

Currie was pleased to bring Fearon to the club.

"Dee has shown that he's top drawer at every level he has played at. He now has the opportunity to showcase himself in the top league in the country," he told carrickrangers.co.uk

"He impressed me so much when we spoke to him.  I could tell how much he wants to show and prove people wrong who have written him off. That for me, is what our club is about - giving opportunity. His attitude was very refreshing after speaking to many players and I can't wait for him to show what he can do."
