Portadown duo Conall McGrandles and Stephen Murray have signed two-year contract extensions with the club in a deal that keeps them at Shamrock Park until 2022.

McGrandles, 26, joined the Ports last summer from Warrenpoint Town having previously been with Larne and Cliftonville and went on to make 24 appearances across all competitions, finding the net on four occasions.

31-year-old Murray arrived at the club towards the end of the January transfer window from Glenavon and made an immediate impact with two goals in his six appearances before football activities were curtailed.

Manager Matthew Tipton was delighted to secure both players as he continues his preparations for the 2020/21 season.

"Conall has been a brilliant addition to our squad and over the last year has given us some memorable moments. He is a tremendous character both on and off the field so I had no hesitation in getting him back on board for another two years," he told the official club website.

"Stephen was just hitting his stride when lockdown arrived, but I think he showed enough class to get everyone excited for more to come. I have no doubt we will get to see many more performances over the next two years."
