Patrick McClean has agreed a new three-year contract with Irish Cup winners Glentoran.

The 23-year-old defender arrived at The Oval from Derry City in July 2019, scoring twice in 35 appearances last season and getting the 'man of the match' nod in the Irish Cup final win over Ballymena United.

Glens manager Mick McDermott was delighted to secure his services for the foreseeable future.

"Paddy has been outstanding since he joined our Club, both on and off the pitch.  He has proven his ability week in and week out and has shown maturity beyond his years," he told the official club website.

"He's a great lad to have around the club so we are delighted to extend his contract - I know he will give his all for Glentoran in the coming seasons!!"
