Annagh United and Newry City both hit five goals in another high scoring day of Lough 41 Championship action that also produced victories for Ards, Ballinamallard United, Knockbreda and Loughgall.

Newry moved to the top of the table with a thumping 5-1 home win over Institute. Goals from John McGovern (2), Daniel Hughes and James Teelan handed Darren Mullen's a commanding lead at the break with Declan Carville then adding a fifth midway through the second half while 'Stute grabbed a late consolation via Brendan McLaughlin.

Annagh swept past Ballyclare Comrades by a similar margin, also at home. Peter Duffin opened the scoring early on with the visitors dealt a further blow a short time later with Elliot McKim's dismissal.

Stephen Murray, Jordan Campbell and Craig Taylor all added to the tally before half-time with Ruairi McDonald adding a fifth right at the end. Chris Ramsey knocked home Ballyclare's goal with less than a quarter-of-an-hour remaining.

But the highest scoring game was at Wilgar Park as Knockbreda got the better of Dundela by the odd goal in seven. Lee McGreevy, Ethan Devine (2) and Cillin Gilmour found the net for 'Breda with Owain Beggs, David McMaster and Michael Smith responding for the Duns.

At the Dub goals from BJ Banda and Niall Grace saw Ballinamallard United defeat Queen's University on the road, while Loughgall also found the net twice in their win over Dergview with the goals coming from Andrew Hoey and Nedas Maciulaitis.

Meanwhile, Ards just needed a Kym Nelson finish to claim the points from HW Welders visit to the Bangor Fuels Arena.
