The NI Football League is pleased to announce the leading Academy Player Scholarship Programme is open for application for the September 2021 intake.

Developed in partnership with the Football Management Company, the Academy Player Scholarship Programme supports the most talented post GCSE players from clubs within the NI Football League structure.

Now into its third year the programme continues to offer locally based players the opportunity to combine training and education in an environment mirroring that of a full-time club academy across dual campuses in Belfast and Dungannon.

NI Football League Interim Manging Director Steven Mills said, "The scholarship programme has really added value and better support to our clubs and their players."

"In the last two years we have seen a number of scholars playing or breaking into first team squads within our Premiership and Championship clubs. The programme continues to deliver benefit to young players coming through in the NI Football League and we look forward to another successful year of working with the Football Management Company."

Director of the Football Management Company Lee Carroll said, “The Academy Scholarship Programme has continued to go from strength to strength with the NI Football League across both our campuses. Our teachers and coaches offer a wealth of experience in football and we’d welcome all interested young players getting in touch to apply to enrol on this Autumn. ”
