David Healy has added to his goalkeeping panel at Windsor Park by securing the signature of Jack Ruddy for the forthcoming season.

The 23-year-old joins Linfield after most recently being with English League One club Plymouth Argyle on a short term contract, the latest club in a varied career that has helped him pick up experience at clubs such as Ross County, Ayr United, Oldham Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bury plus FC Jumilla and SS Reyes in the Spanish third tier.

In addition, the Glasgow born custodian has been capped by his native Scotland at U21, U20 and U19 level.

The Linfield boss welcomed his new acquisition on the official club website.

"Jack will add to the competition levels within the squad and he's settled in well, as we've returned to training this week," he said.

"I just want to take this opportunity to welcome Jack to the squad and I know our goalkeeping coach Jonny Williamson is looking forward to working with him over the course of the season ahead."
