The NI Football League can now reveal the post-split fixture schedule for the Lough 41 Premier Intermediate and the battle for promotion into senior football.

It’s an incredibly tight title race in the third tier with just two points separating the top three teams (Newington, Armagh City and Bangor) heading into this Saturday’s final round of regular season games before the ‘split’.

The top six teams will play a further five games with the top club on Saturday 7 May earning automatic promotion to the Championship with the second placed team having to go into a play-off with the eleventh placed team in the second tier.

With only eleven teams in the Premier Intermediate League, the bottom five teams in section B will play four final games to conclude their season, with no relegation from the NI Football League structure for this current 2021/2022 campaign.

The split games kick off on Easter Tuesday (19 April) as start of a series of games that will determine which clubs takes their place in the Lough 41 Championship for the 2022/2023 season.
