Linfield Ladies Swifts edged out Crusaders Strikers Under 19s in a closely fought encounter in the Womens Academy League.

Mia Moore’s goal in the 57th minute gave the Blues victory – making it six wins and a draw from their opening seven league matches.

Rachel McIntyre netted twice as Glentoran Women Reserves recorded a comfortable seven-goal victory Derry City Women Under-19s.

Rachel McCabe, Rebecca Magee and Natalia Orlowski all scored before the break before Maeve McConaghy and Rhianna Murphy got in on the act, alongside McIntyre’s double.

The Glens still stop the standings are they are three points clear of Linfield, although the Blues have two matches in hand still to play.
