The NI Football League can confirm that the final of the Women’s Premiership League Cup will be played at Blanchflower Stadium and streamed live on BBC Sport NI later this month.

With the competition returning for the first time since 2019 due to the impact of the pandemic, players and fans will be eager for their club to get their hands on the first silverware of the female season before the break for the summer’s UEFA European Championships.

The game on Wednesday 29 June 2022 will be played at the home of Championship club HW Welders in their new look Blanchflower Stadium in Belfast, with the showpiece final also being broadcast live on the BBC Sport NI website and the BBC iPlayer.

Following the quarter-finals of the Women’s Premiership League Cup last night, the final will be contested by the winners of Lisburn Ladies v Cliftonville Ladies and Linfield Ladies v Sion Swifts Ladies.
