Coleraine concluded their UEFA Youth League adventures with defeat in Belgium to KRC Genk.

Trailing by four goals from last week's first leg at The Showgrounds, Martin Smith's went behind on the day after five minutes when Raf Smekens got the last touch to turn the ball home from a corner.

Thomas Claes added a second with just over a quarter-of-an-hour on the clock with an arrowed finish into the top corner.

Genk extended their advantage on 35 minutes through Deniz Arabaci with a low finish past Billy McDowell before Sami Sakkali made it 4-0 just before the break from close range.

The young Bannsiders did pull one back midway through the second half after Andrew Stinson pulled the ball back for Jack Patton to fire into the bottom corner.

However, Genk struck again late in the game as Arabaci doubled his tally for the afternoon while the unfortunate Reece Watton turned the ball into his own net to complete the scoring.
