Daire O'Connor has been unveiled as Glentoran's latest signing of the summer.

The 26-year-old winger arrives at the Oval after a two-year spell in the Scottish Championship with Ayr United during which time he amassed over 50 appearances and helped the club reach the promotion play-offs at the end of the season just finished.

He is, of course, no stranger to the Irish League following a successful spell with Cliftonville. Prior to that he had spent time with Cork City and UCD in the League of Ireland.

Glentoran boss Warren Feeney expressed his delight in securing O'Connor's signature: "Daire comes here with a great pedigree. He’s a super player, very quick and direct, who puts opponents under pressure and on the back foot.

"Its good that he knows this league and how to perform at the level we need. Daire is a very exciting player who’ll add more quality to our attack and who’ll definitely bring something different to the squad. I’m looking forward to working with him."
